Following on from the iOS 7 announcement, Apple has released the Beta version to registered developers to take a look at. Amongst those developers will be, not just those looking to see how they can build their apps for the new iOS 7 firmware but those who are looking to build the next iOS 7 untethered jailbreak utility tool.
We already know that there will not be a jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 or 6.1.4. Both evad3rs and P0sixninja have declared these to be too minor to worry about wasting the exploits on. While the vulnerabilities are there to build the utility, it has been agreed that waiting for iOS 7 will be better as it will have maximum coverage. It’s also not wise for the hackers to tip their hands just yet because there is still plenty of time for the iOS 7 firmware to be tweaked and changed before its public release. Once Apple knows what the exploits are, it will be fairly easy for them to patch the holes, thus wasting the opportunity.
Evasi0n Jailbreak on iOS 7 Progress :
Both evad3rs and P0sixninja are looking to build the new untethered jailbreak, whether it is as separate entities or jointly. Evad3rs will ne making their download links available as soon as they possibly can, once the firmware has been officially released to the public. As with the previous jailbreak, evasi0n, the new one will work on both Mac and Windows operating systems.

In the meantime, if you come across any websites that are offering an iOS 7 untethered jailbreak, you should check with evad3rs first to see if it is genuine. There will be a lot of scam websites looking to either make money from unsuspecting consumers or simply spreading malware and viruses in a malicious attempt to brick as many devices as they can. We will keep you informed of developments as they arise.
