Downgrade iOS 6.1.3 to 6.1.2 using iFaith

Millions of people took advantage of the brand new jailbreak tool, evasi0n, when it was released in February and huge sighs of relief were breathed when 2 subsequent iOS updates did not affect it in any way. However, that changed with iOS 6.1.3 , with Apple effectively closing down Evasi0n.  However, for those that have a pre-A5 device who have inadvertently upgraded to iOS 6.1.3, iFaith can be used to downgrade to iOS 6.1.2. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Download the latest version of iFaith, extract to desktop and right-click on it to run as administrator ifaith
  2. From the main iFaith screen select Show Available SHSH cashes on server. ifaith
  3. Make sure your iOS device is connected to your computer
  4. Choose the correct blob for your device and click Download.
  5. Click on Build, Signed, IPSW w/Blobs  and let the SHSH blobs
  6. iFaith will now begin to build your custom IPSWiFaith-downgrade-ios-6.1.3-to-ios-6.1.2
  7. When complete you will need to place your device into DFU. Select and click on iREB and download it
  8. Right click on iREB and run as administrator; it will now place your device into DFU mode
  9. When this has been done successfully hold down the Shift  key on your keyboard and click on Restore  in iTunes
  10. Point to the custom IPSW
  11. iTunes will now restore your device to iOS 6.1.2 allowing you to jailbreak using Evasi0n again.

Wanted to downgrade to 5.1.1 but only 4.1 and 6.1.3 were available. Pretty sure that’s because I upgraded from 4.1 to 6.1.3 (phone was a hand me down). Guess there’s no way to upgrade or downgrade to 5.1.1 as it was never installed on this phone.

Will wait for the bugs in the 6.1.3 jailbreak to be sorted out.

Hello. I just tried to Downgrade my 4s iPhone from the ios 6.1.3 to the 6.1.2 using iFaith. After down loading iFaith to my desk top and as the Administrator, I opened and installed iFaith. When I ran iFaith as the instructions, I clicked on Build, Signed, IPSW w/Blobs and let the SHSH blobs. What happened was, iFaith then went to “Browse for SHSH Blobs, so I clicked on that and that opened up my “Documents” File. It did not build a custom file s the instructions said. I know that I am doing something wrong, so would you please tell me what it is. Where it is that I made the mistake on something that I missed?
